7-10 Language Arts: We are finishing up our classes for the year, which means reviewing for finals for 9th and 10th. All students have been practicing organization of writing and I have collected some fine essays on the Music Program. Today the 8th-grade class sat outside during English class, jotting down the sights, sounds, and smells of Spring. Then we all tried putting these images of Spring into poems. I have enjoyed all of my students this year and will really miss those who will not be returning. —Mrs. Villeda
Grades 7-8: 8th graders are ready for graduation! They've received their caps & gowns, they've written their speaking parts, and they've been practicing their music. Join us next Wednesday at 7:00 in the church for their big moment. Last week we had a guest artist/lecturer who was able to keep 5-10th grade students focused and drawing for almost two hours. Jack Laws, artist and author, talked to the kids about drawing animals. Thanks to the local Audubon Society, he visits schools to teach about nature. —Mr. Carle
Grades 5-6: This week we’ve been finishing up our math. We also had a great field day last Friday, and we had fun. We are going to miss pizza lunch, since today was the last one. —Juliette and Karl
Grades 3-4: We have had a busy week starting to wrap up our work for the school year. Great job to everyone who worked so hard this year! We are looking forward to next week being a fun, busy time to finish our school year. —Mrs. Kramer
Grades 1-2: First and second graders had a fun time roller skating on our Field Day last Friday! This week we have stayed busy reviewing and tying up loose ends, as we finish up a great school year.
—Mrs. Deacon
Grades K-P1: This week we have been finishing up all the odds and ends of our school year. We brought our insect unit to an end with the completion of our bulletin board. It looks great! We have also started cleaning our classroom so we can leave it nice and neat for the summer! Next week we will be cleaning, playing, and celebrating a successful year of Kindergarten and Pre-First!!! —Mrs. Dorchuck
